"The proposed plan for north-south regional connectivity doesn’t pass the test of practicality or adequacy of function. This single critical failure puts into question the credibility of the entire South Hillsboro transportation plan. What other mirages are in it? The plans are only on paper now. Infrastructure funding is uncertain. Rushing forward now will benefit only the developers — at the expense of the entire community for generations to come."

The presentation from February 2nd can be viewed here and video can be viewed here.
Save 175th Project Leader Kim Kollie attended Thursday night's meeting and took great notes available here.
Some key points from the meeting:
It's certainly frustrating to see the top of the mountain getting developed – but this plot was R-6 in 1983 and has been sitting idle for as long as we could hope for. The 650+ trips from those homes will be diverted towards Weir … I realize that they’ll probably loop back around to the 4-way stop, but that’s going to put more pressure on Wash Co to fix the intersection, and with $300K coming in from those homes, maybe they’ll put in a signal or something (‘cause the engineer says there’s not enough physical space to put in a Roundabout – and Sam said you could hear ALL 50 people GROAN when the word Roundabout was mentioned!). Hope this helps keep you all informed, Fran 'The “trade” would make a small area of south Cooper Mountain part of the Beaverton School District and an area in the southeast part of the planned South Hillsboro development part of the Hillsboro School District....'
http://www.pamplinmedia.com/ht/117-hillsboro-tribune-news/248808-117103-land-swap-talk-sparks-school-board-fuss Proposed subdivision and access management plan to be discussed Thursday night! At 6 p.m. at Mountain View Middle School, 17500 SW Farmington Road (enter building via the middle door, to the right of the flagpole). The subject property is two parcels totaling approximately 10.5 acres in the R-6 district (Residential, 5-6 units per acre), and is identified as taxlots 1S1 30DC 1400 and 1500, on the east side of SW 175th Avenue, south of Kemmer Road. http://tualatinwatch.blogspot.com/2015/01/2015-brings-threats-to-wetlands.html
This is from Tualatin Riverkeepers - and their efforts to move the new high school away from SCM - due to threat to wetlands & Clean Water issues. My opinion is also that the many ball fields are a real noise & light threat to the wildlife due to proximity. And the school grounds traverse the wildlife corridors posing a threat to their migrating patterns to the river - I have seen no construction of the "obligatory" Wildlife Crossings per Metro. We need our supporters to: a) attend the Feb 12 High School Mtg b) follow the wetlands blog (and sign petitions) as this is an important vehicle to help us in our challenge of the High School. Thanks, Fran "The concept plan, which serves as a long-term guide for development in the South Cooper Mountain area, lists out 13 actions that should take place moving forward. The actions, led mostly by the city, range from further code amendments that need to be adopted, to designing the east-west collector road to Loon Drive..."
Read the full article here. You will be reading about this information in the local newspapers, so Save175th wants you to read “it” from us first – and what we’ve been doing to work the issues regarding our road.
1) We were denied our request to lower the speed limit – quick turnaround - but we are not giving up. Matter of fact – this gives us more to challenge. See the attachment. 2) Roger Henderson presented our issues at the Washington County Board of Commissioners Meeting (see his testimony attached) – Save175th representatives are constantly speaking on behalf of our neighbors regarding 175th in many different official arenas. Kay also testified at the Meeting. 3) Kim Kollie, another wonderful member of our team, along with Rich Kollie and Roger Staver, a Save175th lead, also showed support at the Commissioners’ Meeting – Kim wrote up excellent notes (attached) – though these have not been edited. Kim’s perception is that “..Kinda Good News from the meeting at Wash Co. today…” We will post the URL for the official Minutes of the meeting on our website, www.Save175th.org, when they are available. All of these documents will also be posted on our website. Thanks again for your support – we want to keep you informed. Fran While not directly tied to our efforts around preserving 175th, development efforts around North Cooper Mountain are sure to have an impact. Read more here:

I will address these 2 issues separately..."
