Save 175th Project Leader Kim Kollie attended Thursday night's meeting and took great notes available here.
Some key points from the meeting:
It's certainly frustrating to see the top of the mountain getting developed – but this plot was R-6 in 1983 and has been sitting idle for as long as we could hope for. The 650+ trips from those homes will be diverted towards Weir … I realize that they’ll probably loop back around to the 4-way stop, but that’s going to put more pressure on Wash Co to fix the intersection, and with $300K coming in from those homes, maybe they’ll put in a signal or something (‘cause the engineer says there’s not enough physical space to put in a Roundabout – and Sam said you could hear ALL 50 people GROAN when the word Roundabout was mentioned!).
Hope this helps keep you all informed,
Fran
Some key points from the meeting:
- Good news is that the Washington County Traffic engineers heard us and: NO LONGER a Weir WEST road to 175th
- In Kim’s notes, the engineer makes the statement that 170th is not overburdened – but 175th is.
- Roughly 50+ people were in attendance
- Save175th is getting wonderful support from CPO6. For example, CPO6 had 3 members of their Steering Committee at the Kemmer Ridge Meeting including Chair, Lyles Garcia, and our great mentor, Ray Eck.
